When Art Basel comes to town, it’s kind of a must-do for me. Every year artists of modern and contemporary art, experienced and emerging artists alike, display their work all around the city. It’s so fun to see crazy sculptures and exhibits pop up everywhere. With a baby I knew I wouldn’t be able to go to the events in the evening so I tackled Basel early in the day. My friend and I headed over to Scope, one of the largest art shows on the beach, bright and early and enjoyed (almost) no traffic and lots of amazing art – and maybe one or two tantrums but I guess that’s expected when you take a 7-month old to an art show. Overall, the baby was awesome and we had a great time.

I think it’s so necessary to see different artwork, different perspectives and what is going on around in the world within the creative field in order to continually be inspired and have fresh content. Needless, to say I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity. Here are a few of my favorite pieces from Scope –>
